A Short-Term Substitute School Social Worker opportunity is available in South St. Paul, Minnesota, providing essential social-emotional and behavioral support to elementary students (Grades K5). This assignment offers the chance to work in a collaborative school environment serving approximately 550 students, with coverage needed through at least April 6th and potential extension based on district needs. Responsibilities include: Delivering social-emotional learning lessons both in the classroom and in small groups Providing 1:1 support to students requiring individualized assistance Participating as an active member of intervention and support teams alongside counselors, psychologists, and administrative staff Collaborating with school personnel to promote student well-being and academic success Candidates should meet the following qualifications: Bachelors (BSW) or Masters (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program Active licensure through the Minnesota Board of Social Work PELSB active licensure is also required Experience working in school social work or related student services fields is preferred This role is based in an elementary school setting within a supportive team structure that includes administrators, school counselors, and psychologists.
