Job Description:
Position InformationThis position is an 8 hour/day position,
scheduled to work 190 days per year. This position will be paid at
the current hourly rate of the incumbent plus an additional $1.20
per hour as a stipend. The term of service is five (5) years with
the option to add an additional year. This position reports to
Theresa Wallace, Special Projects Manager. Functional Class
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with district and program leaders, supports
the implementation of district-wide and program specific practices
including but not limited to: academic and behavioral
interventions, MTSS, Domain 5 and the district's Equity scope and
sequence.
- In collaboration with program leaders and classroom teachers,
conducts coaching cycles with Education Assistant Specialist staff.
This could include classroom observations to collect baseline data,
feedback sessions, development of helpful strategies and modeling
of skills.
- Provides ongoing training and support to first year Education
Assistant Specialists and external partners (ex. Consultation
Requests, Collaborative Intervention Network) as needed.
- Participates as a member of the District Equity Leadership Team
(DELT) and will support Equity implementation district-wide in
collaboration with site Equity Facilitators.
- Provides support related to Third Party Reimbursement (TPR)
including the following: printing, distributing and tracking
completion of TPR daily logs and time studies, entering PCA daily
logs into SPED Forms and providing coaching and training on TPR and
PCA logs to EAS staff.
- Facilitates discussions at the district's new employee Special
Education Orientation. Experience Requirements
- Three (3) years of experience as an Education Assistant
Specialist Knowledge Requirements

- Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing,

- Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally,
and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds
of forces constantly to move objects
