Job Description:
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory
/ Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required
License: Valid Respiratory Care Practice license Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, CRT or RRT Must-Have: - Critical care and
NICU experience desired - Experience with all ages, including
infants - Strong communication and clinical skills - Autonomous in
practice Description: Responsible for patient care in a critical
care setting. Will manage up to 20 patients per shift, totaling 40
patients a day. Perform duties including rapid response and airway
management. Conduct ABG's, EKGs, nebulizer and inhaler treatments.
Provide hyperinflation and chest physiotherapy. Administer invasive
and noninvasive ventilation. Monitor CO2 and Capnography levels.
Conduct suctioning and Trach care. Candidate must be able to float
within the facility as needed. Candidates must complete labs and
other compliance requirements promptly. Two references are
required, with one from a supervisor. AHA certifications are
required to be completed prior to start. Engagement in bedside
shift reporting, the utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding is
expected.
